Another Bogo

Yes this weekend will be another bogo, I think a regular bogo of every 2 weeks at the weekend is not too bad. It helps with server costs, development costs etc. Keeps the game ticking over etc. This will now be a regular thing.

I've done pretty well so far this week, keeping this blog updated daily, although I'll admit its difficult to find things to say. I'm trying to keep doing it so that I can communicate better with the players at KoR and hopefully anyone else interested in the PBBG community.

This weekend I plan to do some work on about 3 things, as well if I can start setting up the new server. No that does not mean things will go belly up again. I am moving files etc to the new server and making sure it fits our needs first, if not we will stay as we are, and I will use that for something else. Although it would be nice to pay less for server costs.

Its Halloween soon, so I hope to bring back last years themed forest, so all those collectors can have a chance to stock up again. I quite like the themed stuff it adds a new fun element to the game for a while. Keeps people interested.

When this is over I will be making some changes to the forest. Basically a re-write to make it totally location dependant. The forest itself is quite limiting in theme, only so much you can do in a forest, look at tree's enter clearing etc etc. So I have decided that in different location you will have different themes, forests, pits, caves etc, all with their own items, which should spread the scope of it a bit and make it more interesting again.

I will also be removing the fair. Why? Well I have a new thing that hopefully time will allow me to add this weekend, you would not believe the behind the scense turmoil we have had with servers and support, we are finally starting to get somewhere now though. Anyway I will be replacing the fair with something new, which will add a new trading element to the game.

My goal the coming months is to add more classes for players to move through the game. We currently have Warriors and Magic users, I'd like to see more traders and other classes, that will expand the game a little more. As the ideas form into something tangible I will add them to the game.

Well I will leave any other thoughts for tomorrows blog, along with a little attempt at seeing how many people are reading this blog from KoR.
